 about

hello! i'm mei.

i know what you're thinking, "why the obsession with tiny hands?" humans are built to be able to tell if something is actually human or not and i think the best kind of art is when you can truly trick the human eye. hands are so expressive and so incredibly human, there are so many options!

the fun part of making these hands is that i can choose the skin color of them. as a POC, most things aren't specially made for us in mind. it's so exciting because i want someone to look at them and be like "wow, someone made these especially for me!!"

i'm going to leave you with one of my favorite poems on the right! i love you, i'm glad i exist. ♥

At lunchtime I bought a huge orange—
The size of it made us all laugh.
I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave—
They got quarters and I had a half.

And that orange, it made me so happy,
As ordinary things often do
Just lately. The shopping. A walk in the park.
This is peace and contentment. It’s new.

The rest of the day was quite easy.
I did all the jobs on my list
And enjoyed them and had some time over.
I love you. I’m glad I exist.
